In Mumbai, Ajith Kumar is a powerful gangster known as `Red Dragon`. But his wife, Ramya (played by Trisha), is determined not to let their son grow up following the same dark path. To protect him, she takes their son Vihaan away to Spain and forbids AK from seeing him for 17 years. Before parting, AK makes a solemn promise — he vows to return on their son`s 18th birthday not as a gangster, but as an honest man and a responsible father.
Years pass. AK, accepting the consequences of his past, turns himself in and serves time in prison. Meanwhile, Arjun Das, a man hurt by Ramya`s decisions, kidnaps Vihaan in a bid for revenge. Upon his release from prison, AK eagerly comes to meet his son — only to be met with a shocking twist: Vihaan has been arrested by Spanish authorities in a drug trafficking case. The story then follows AK`s emotional and intense journey as he tries to rescue his son and redeem his past.
Asusal, Ajith carries the entire film on his shoulders with his commanding screen presence. Trisha delivers a strong and emotional performance, while Karthikeya Dev shines in the role he takes on with great conviction. Arjun Das impresses in a dual role as the menacing villain Johnny and his twin, Jammy.
