Detailed Review

Yogi Babu, a small-time magician, ekes out a living performing minor magic tricks learned from his father, who tragically died in an accident during a magic show. Constantly mocked and ridiculed by local thugs in his area, Yogi Babu struggles to cope. One day, while performing a magic trick, an unexpected accident harms a young girl, leading to police intervention and brutal treatment. Later, the same rowdy gang that taunts him escalates their cruelty by severing his hand, leaving him unable to perform magic and plunging him into despair.

Amid these challenges, Yogi Babu finds solace in his lover, played by Shanthi Rao, who remains his only source of support. However, tragedy strikes again when a young girl close to him is sexually assaulted and killed by the same gang of thugs. Enraged, Yogi Babu channels his anger and uses his limited magic skills to exact revenge on the perpetrators in mysterious ways.

As the police begin hunting for him, the question remains: Does Yogi Babu get caught, or does he succeed in avenging the wrongs done to him? While the story sounds intriguing on paper, director Vineesh Millennium fails to deliver a compelling mystery thriller. The screenplay lacks engaging moments, making it a significant drawback. Yogi Babu shines as an innocent, relatable character, delivering a natural performance. Shanthi Rao fits her role perfectly, while the supporting actors merely pass through their parts. Arunagiri’s songs and Jithin Roshan’s background score fail to elevate the film. The only standout positive is Madhu Ambat’s cinematography, which adds some visual appeal.
