Detailed Review

Munishkanth is a middle-class family man living in Chennai with his wife and two children. His dream is to earn enough money to buy land and build a house in his hometown, while his wife Vijayalakshmi wishes to purchase a home in Chennai and settle down there. As both chase their own dreams, Munishkanth unexpectedly receives a cheque for one crore rupees through his father. Did he use it to fulfil his dream? Whose dream came true in the end? Director Kishore Muthuramaligam presents this as a family drama.

Munishkanth perfectly slips into the role of a middle-class man — carrying family responsibilities, cherishing his housing dreams, and delivering both emotional and humorous moments naturally. Vijayalakshmi is a perfect match as his wife, impressing with her performance. Radharavi, Velaramamoorthy, and others deliver solid acting. Sudharshan Srinivasan’s cinematography and Pranav Muniraj’s music add strength to the film.

Though the plot revolves around a single cheque, the film never gets boring. A few scenes feel like TV-serial moments, but the last half hour makes up for it. It’s a feel-good movie that beautifully captures middle-class emotions. Definitely worth watching with the family.
