Kumaran (Kumaran Thangarajan) dreams of becoming a film director and tirelessly searches for an opportunity. But since no producer gives him a chance, he decides to sell his large ancestral house—where his extended family lives—in order to make his own film. However, a conflict arises with his upstairs neighbor, social activist Kumara Thangavelu, which complicates matters.

One day, Kumara Thangavelu is found dead, and Kumaran gets caught in the police investigation, further delaying his plan to sell the house. Did Kumaran finally manage to sell the house and become a director? Who killed Kumara Thangavelu? These questions are presented with a mix of comedy and sentiment by director Balaji Venugopal.

Having moved from television to cinema, Kumaran shines in both comedy and emotional scenes. Ilango Kumaravel is convincing as the social activist, delivering his role well. Bala Saravanan and Vinoth Sagar guarantee laughter with their comic timing—Bala Saravanan’s one-liners and Vinoth Sagar`s appearances bring the theater alive with laughter. Livingston, Payal Radhakrishnan, and J. M. Kumar all do justice to their respective roles. Achu Rajamani`s songs and background score are decent and fit the mood.

Although the film has a thriller premise, the focus leans more toward comedy, and a few scenes even feel like watching a TV serial.

Overall, this is a good family entertainer filled with comedy and sentiment, suitable for watching with the whole family.
