Detailed Review
During Ashoka’s reign, he sealed all his powers into nine books and entrusted them to nine warriors for protection. The evil force that seeks to obtain these books and destroy the world takes form as Manchu Manoj.
Foreseeing this danger through her divine vision, Shriya abandons her son in Varanasi to keep him safe. That boy grows up to be the hero, Teja. Did Shriya’s plan succeed? Was Teja able to stop and defeat Manchu Manoj? Director Karthik Gattamneni delivers this tale as a fantasy adventure with touches of Hollywood-style inspiration.
After HanuMan, hero Teja Sajja once again chooses a superhero fantasy role and performs well. Manchu Manoj shines in his villainous portrayal. Though Ritika Nayak’s acting is average, her role plays a crucial part in shaping the hero. The supporting cast—Shriya, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram—all deliver solid performances.
Music by Gowra Hari is decent in songs, but his background score is striking. With Karthik Gattamneni himself handling the cinematography, the visuals are stunning. Despite being made on a modest ₹60 crore budget, the CGI impresses on a big scale.
While both the story and visuals clearly show international influences, some sequences—like how easily the heroine finds the hero—feel less engaging. There aren’t many standout fresh moments, but if you watch without expectations, the film entertains.
