Detailed Review

Agan (Pradeep Ranganathan) runs an event management company in Chennai. His uncle, Athiyaman Alagappan, is the Minister for Dairy Development. He plans to get his daughter Kural (Mamitha Baiju) married to Agan, since he refuses to accept her love. But Kural wants to unite with her boyfriend. For that, she seeks Agan’s help.

Agan (Pradeep Ranganathan) tries to unite Kural with her lover, crossing the powerful minister Athiyamaan — a man who has close links with many influential people across India. For her sake, Agan does something no one else would dare to do, enduring immense pain without worrying about his own future. Because Agan loves her too.

What exactly did Agan do? In the end, does Kural manage to join hands with her lover? And what does Athiyamaan do?

Debut director Keerthiswaran presents all this as a fun-filled action, romantic, comedy entertainer.

Pradeep Ranganathan is a cool dude buzzing across the screen throughout. Despite facing repeated heartbreaks, he moves forward like nothing happened. Whether expressing his own love or fighting for Mamitha’s love story, his expressions and dialogues make us emotional along with him.

Mamitha performs well; her natural acting supports her character beautifully. “Parithabangal” David shines as Pradeep’s loyal friend who stands by him understanding all his pains.

Hridhu Haroon, as Mamitha’s boyfriend, delivers a neat performance. Sarathkumar looks calm but plays a perfect villain, fitting into the politician’s role seamlessly. Negha Shetty appears briefly. Other supporting actors perform well. Sai Abhyankar’s background score and songs are decent.

People may be willing to lose anything for their love, but no one is ready to lose their lover itself. Yet Pradeep’s character is prepared even for that, and the film portrays his powerful love story with a blend of humour, fun, and emotion.

While watching the film, one is reminded of a famous dialogue from the climax of Bhagyaraj’s classic “Andha Ezhu Naatkal”: “Sir, your wife can become my lover, but my lover can never become your wife!”

This film presents a twist that stands as a contrast to that iconic line.

Although it looks like a Gen-Z-oriented film, it is enjoyable for all audiences.
